Bringing Baby Home – A Workshop for New Parents
May 22-24
Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm
Sunday 9:00am-3:30pm
Cost: $275 per couple

Even the strongest relationships are strained during the transition to parenthood. Lack of sleep, never-ending housework and new fiscal concerns can lead to profound stress and a decline in marital satisfaction — all of which affect baby’s care. Not surprisingly, 69% of new parents experience conflict, disappointment, and hurt feelings.

This workshop, based on the research of John and Julie Gottman, prepares couples for life with baby and helps them be the best parenting team possible. In a relaxed and supportive environment, parents learn to strengthen their relationship and foster baby’s development during this challenging time. They build on what Dr. Gottman and colleagues found is the best predictor of marital adjustment after baby arrives: the quality of friendship in the marriage.

This Bringing Baby Home workshop combines scientific research and public education to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. It teaches new parents how to gain relationship satisfaction and create healthy social, emotional, and intellectual development for their children.

Hold Me Tight: A Workshop for Couples
Weekend yet TBD
Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm
Sunday 9:00am-3:30pm
Cost: $225 per couple

Ever feel like you and your partner are stuck in a pattern where you:
-Feel like you are just going through the motions of a relationship without real, intimate connection?
-Constantly have the same arguments that cycle around again and again?
-Feel unheard and misunderstood instead of seen and held?
-Feel more lonely in your relationship than when you are on your own?

Hold Me Tight workshops are based on the work of Susan Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy which is endorsed by the American Psychological Association as scientifically proven and widely heralded as one of the most successful approaches to creating loving relationships and lasting bonds.
In this workshop you and your partner will be guided through facilitated conversations, video presentations, guided exercises and “one-on-one” discussions, to help you reconnect and transform your relationship. You will leave this workshop with tools for repairing and reconnecting whether you are just starting out in your relationship or have a long-term marriage.
